TUESDAY Transfer Updates, Eduardo To Chelsea, Upamecano, Mustafi And More
Hello Football lovers and fans, this is to give you the transfer latest updates for Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and other clubs across Europe.
The London giants supporters will no doubt hope their club can end up beating Real Madrid to France international, with the midfielder looking an outstanding prospect. Still only 18 years of age, Eduardo is already quite experienced in Ligue 1 and has three caps for the senior French national team.
Blues are said to be looking at improving their midfield, with the 18-year-old midfielder being eyed as an upgrade on the unconvincing Jorginho. Chelsea fans would surely be happy with that, with the English boss still looking in need of reinforcements despite a summer of big spending.
Sergio Ramos
Sergio has spent 16 years of his trophy-laden career at Real Madrid but seems ready for an acrimonious exit having fallen out with club president Florentino Perez. PSG have made contact with Ramos but the centre-back has turned down a move to the Paris and wants to test himself in the PL.
Spain international has also attracted interest from several teams in Asia but his family are said not to be keen on relocating there. The Spaniard is likely to command wages in excess of £200,000-a-week and although Everton are understood to maintain interest, Red Devils are said to represent the centre-back’s dream destination.
Manchester United
The Red Devils harbour a long-standing interest in RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano but the centre-back now appears destined to sign for Bayern Munich after the Bundesliga giants sporting director, Salihamidzic, revealed productive negotiations had taken place between the two sides recently.
Hasan said: ‘We had a good meeting with his agents yesterday. Let’s see what happens.’ The Red Devils have cooled their interest in Dayot, who is also coveted by the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool, and will focus their efforts on prising £60m rated Jules from Sevilla instead.
Chelsea
The RB Leipzig centre-back is set to leave Germany in the summer, with the Frenchman having a £37.4 million release clause.
He has been linked with a move to the Premier League before, with Arsenal very keen on signing him in the summer of 2019.
But he still has plenty of suitors in England, with Chelsea, under new boss Thomas Tuchel, expected to make their move in the summer.
Chelsea were expected to be joined by Liverpool, as well as favourites for his signature Bayern Munich in the race to sign the 22-year-old, but that may not now be the case.
Arsenal
Both Edu and Mikel Arteta have wished the 28-year-old world cup winner as reported on the Arsenal website.
Edu said: “We thank Musti for his contribution at Arsenal which has spanned four-and-a-half years, more than 150 appearances and a prominent role in two FA Cup wins. Everyone associated with the club wishes Musti and his family the very best wishes for the next chapter in his career.”
Arteta said: “Musti has been a key player for us for a long period of time. He played a very important part in my first season as manager and I’d like to thank him for his professionalism and for always being ready when called upon. Everybody at Arsenal wishes Musti well at Schalke.”
