Natasha Emerges Edo House of Assembly Minority Leader
The wife of singer Tuface Idibia, aka 2Baba, Natasha Osawaru, has emerged as the Edo State House of Assembly minority leader.
The lawmaker representing Egor Constituency was announced as the minority leader during plenary on Monday.
Newera News learnt that the development follows a comprehensive reshuffle of the Assembly’s principal leadership.
She was elevated under the platform of the National Democratic Congress, NDC, after her defection from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in May 2026.
Speaking in a statement shared on her Facebook page, Natasha said, “This new responsibility is not a title; it is a trust. Our democracy thrives on rigorous debate, accountability, and the courage to advocate for the ordinary citizen without compromise.”
Newera News gathered that this elevation came amid her ongoing marital crisis with her husband, singer Tuface Idibia, aka 2Baba.
