Breaking: Nigerians Groan as Banks Begins N6.98k Deductions From Every Account
Nigerians groans as banks begin secret deductions of N6.98k per transaction from every account holder in the country. The deduction was reported to Newera News correspondent, Mrs. E.U. Joy, who was visibly surprised by the action of the Banks without prior notice.
According to Joy, the deduction was tagged, “please note, a N6.98k network Charge will be applied to your account for banking services on this Channel.
To confirm the claim, our financial correspondent tried to purchase a recharge card from his bank using the USSD code and was also surprised to note that even his bank was not exempted from this secret withdrawal., as the same thing was also applied to his account.
For anyone to complete any form of financial transaction from his or her bank through the phone must part with the said sum of money before they can proceed further.
Another Nigerian Mr. Emeka Edmond wondered why such a deduction will be made without any form of notification to bank customers especially at this time when Nigerians are already overtaxed.
