Nnamdi Kanu Writes UN, Over Alleged Killings of Biafrans And Some Innocent Nigerians During COVID-19 Lockdown

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu revealed that he has petitioned the United Nations over the alleged killings of Biafrans by security personnel in some states in Eastern Nigeria last week.

Kanu, on Monday, wondered why the killing of innocent and unarmed citizens of Biafra in Nkpor Anambra state, Aba and Ohafia in Abia State as well as Warri Delta State.

The statement given by his spokesman, Emma Powerful, said that any soldier, police or security personnel who takes pleasure in the elimination of life of any Biafran will henceforth be resisted.

“We cannot allow such barbaric killings to continue unchallenged if the perpetrators don’t immediately stop this cruelty.”

“Nigeria military, Police and other security apparatus had in recent days killed more than 20 innocent citizens in Biafraland since coronavirus lockdown started,” he alleged.

“We wonder why Nigeria security personnel would prefer slaughtering lives of Biafrans extra-judicially during this period people are facing a hard time because of lockdown issued to curb the spread of coronavirus pandemic disease that is ravaging the whole world.”

“Any soldier, police or security personnel who takes pleasure in the elimination of life of any Biafran will henceforth be resisted,” he warned.

The information also hinted that Kanu has since written to the United Nations over this recent killing during COVID-19 lockdown in the Biafraland.

Mazi Friday Arunsi, a middle-aged man.

Their corpse has been deposited in the pending the outcome of the investigation, he also vowed that perpetrators must be brought to book as soon as possible.
