The Benefits Of The Ojude Oba Festival

The Ojude Oba Festival in Ijebu Ode, a town in Ogun State, South-Western Nigeria, was held, with over 300,000 people across the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria in attendance

The benefit derived from the festival cannot be overemphasized, most of the participants were A part excited to see cultural display first hand.

A participant identified as Jimoh Adediji told our correspondent how he makes money selling pictures taken from the festival. He went further to mention that some of his friends purposely come to buy cultural items, native crafts on display and the popular Ijebu Gari and Dried fish he said.

Apart from the business side they enjoy, many use the opportunity to meet new acquaintances.

The wife of the Ogun State Deputy Governor, Mrs. Noimot Salako Oyedele was among the dignitaries that graced the occasion. She commended the organizers for making the 2019 edition of the Ojude Oba Festival a huge success.
