Football Whisper’s Predictions for Leicester vs West Ham

West Ham will be looking to pile on the misery this weekend when they make the trip to Leicester in the Premier League. The hosts sit 12th in the table and are guilty of being very inconsistent this season and have lost three of their last four matches in all competitions.

West Ham to Win

The Hammers arrive flying high in 4th position and have won four of their last six matches in league and cup, while Leicester have lost three of their last four outings. West Ham also have a good recent record against the Foxes, winning each of the pair’s last three meetings in the Premier League, most recently cruising to a 4-1 win at home back in August.

Both teams have scored in six of the last seven meetings between these two clubs and we’re expecting more of the same from Sunday’s encounter. Four of Leicester’s last five fixtures have produced goals at both ends of the pitch while West Ham have only failed to score in one of their last six games in all competitions, so you can see why we’re not backing either side to keep a clean sheet this weekend.

West Ham looking to kick Leicester while they are down

The Foxes made the trip to Merseyside in midweek to face an in-from Liverpool side. A goal in each half from Jota proved enough to win the game for the hosts, as Leicester made it four games without a win in all competitions. Sources suggest that Brendan Rodgers is under pressure at Leicester due to the club’s unexpected poor league position but most of the fans are behind him following their recent FA Cup and Community Shield successes.

Leicester Predicted lineup – Schmeichel, Amartey, Justin, Thomas, Albrighton, Ndidi, Maddison, Tielemans, Dewsbury-Hall, Daka & Barnes

West Ham controversially started French defender Kurt Zouma despite the player being under investigation for animal cruelty, and both sets of fans let him know their feelings about the situation. However, despite all the booing, West Ham managed to keep a clean sheet at home against Watford and Bowen netted the only goal of the game in the 68th-minute to wrap up all 3pts. The Hammers can’t move up any places this weekend, but a win would put some distance between themselves and Arsenal in 5th.

West Ham Predicted lineup – Fabiański, Cresswell, Dawson, Coufal, Zouma, Souček, Rice, Fornals, Antonio, Benrahma & Bowen
