Tottenham Players Ratings After Their 5-1 Victory

Tottenham Players Ratings After Their 5-1 Victory Make Difference.

Here’s how we rated the Tottenham Hotspur players after their 5-1 victory against NS Mura in the Europa Conference League group stages

Pierluigi Gollini

Not a lot the Italian could do about Kous’ pinpoint volley from outside the box. Other than that he didn’t have much to do. 6

Matt Doherty

Another night where the Irishman struggled to impress down the flank. He did what he had to in defending against a team with little threat but struggled in his attacking endeavours and in his passing at times. 5

Cristian Romero

He will have busier nights than this but he looked composed in everything he did.

Some strong moments at the back and made one slaloming run from his own box before the break. Will feel he should have more chances and he’s got a point. 7

Sergio Reguilon

Could have scored a couple at the other end with a bit more composure in front of the goal but at times his passing was poor. 6

Harry Winks

Got a full 90 minutes under his belt and he did what was asked of him in the centre of the pitch. 7

Oliver Skipp

Mopped up plenty in the middle and in the first half, he unleashed a low shot that flew just past the left-hand post. Another impressive display and he could well have booked his starting spot for Sunday. 8

Giovani Lo Celso

He doubled Spurs’ lead with a powerful finish from a tight angle after just eight minutes. Struggled to make an impact until he switched to the number 10 role and he became far more instrumental, including a nutmeg assist for Kane’s third goal and he was involved in plenty of Tottenham’s best work in the second half. 8

Dele Alli

In the number 10 role in a 4-2-3-1 and it got him into the position to win a penalty within three minutes. He sent the spot-kick confidently into the bottom left corner. He forced the keeper into a flying save with a curling shot after the half-hour mark. Very sloppy though in much of his play after his goal. 6

Bryan Gil

Plenty of desire and drive and some lovely touches, but couldn’t find a way through. 6

Dane Scarlett

Some twists and turns that showed what he’s got in his locker but the service into him wasn’t great again. 6

Subs

Harry Kane

Had a chance within moments after coming on with half an hour remaining but was denied by the onrushing goalkeeper. Made no mistake soon after though with a sliding finish. He doubled his tally from Son’s square ball and then sealed his hat-trick with a crisp finish from Lo Celso’s pass. 9

Son Heung-min

Broke away within minutes of coming on and set up Kane for a chance and then grabbed an assist soon after for the striker. 8

Lucas Moura

Set up Kane for his goal after coming on with a perfectly weighted rolling pass and caused a real threat to Mura. 8

Pierre-Emile Hojber

Came on for Skipp and showed plenty of energy in the centre of the pitch in the pouring rain. 7

Emerson Royal

Replaced Reguilon late in the game. Not Available

The Tottenham players ratings after their 5-1 victory are obviously encouraging but looking at the performance against NS Mura in the Europa Conference League group stages will define the outcome.
