#EndSARS Protest: Gov. Ugwuanyi To Set Up Panel Of Inquiry On Police Brutality

The Governor of Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, says he will set up a panel of inquiry to investigate all cases of police brutality and extrajudicial killings in the State

Ugwuanyi gave the assurance while addressing youths protesting against police brutality in the country at the government house Enugu

According to the Governor, the panel of inquiry will be headed by a High Court judge, representative of the Nigerian police force, and the civil society group as members. Others are representative of the youths and students.

Ugwuanyi commended the protesters for their peaceful conduct assuring that their demands will receive adequate attention.

Governor Ugwuanyi also announced that his administration will establish a human rights public complaint team to receive reports on the ongoing #EndSARS Protest

He assured that his administration will continue to ensure that the people of the state enjoy the dividends of democracy.
