Nicki Minaj Officially Reveals Her Pregnancy (Photos)
Controversial American rapper, singer, songwriter, and model Nicki Minaj, 37 has officially announced that she’s pregnant with her first child.
Nicki shared the photos on her official Instagram page where she posed with her baby bump on fleek.
The rapper shared three photographs on Instagram revealing her news, captioning the first picture: “Preggers.”
The images show the musician kneeling on a cushioned surface, cradling her baby bump, wearing a yellow wig.
In the second picture, which is not captioned, Minaj is standing while wearing an ornate, embellished ensemble.
Minaj’s first Instagram post garnered more than 3.6m likes, just one hour after the musician posted it.
Several of the 37-year-old’s celebrity friends wished her congratulations on her news.
“I knew it yasss welcome to the mamas club Queen,” wrote television personality Tanisha Thomas.
“Congratulations beautiful x,” commented singer Sam Smith, while singer Tinashe stated: “CONGRATS QUEEN!!!!!”
In a third picture shared by Minaj as part of her pregnancy announcement, the musician is captured reclining on a pink sofa.
In the caption, she expressed her gratitude for all the well-wishes she has received.
“Love. Marriage. Baby carriage,” the “Starships” singer said.
“Overflowing with excitement & gratitude. Thank you all for the well wishes.”
You will recall that in September 2019, Minaj announced she had “retired” from the music industry to have a beautiful family after she got married to married her partner, Kenneth, in October 2019.
Sharing a tweet back then, the rapper said: “I’ve decided to retire and have my family. I know you guys are happy now.
Nicki Minaj on September 5th, 2019 announced that she was retiring from music to have a family and said “I’ve decided to retire & have my family. I know you guys are happy now. To my fans, keep rep-pin me, do it til da death of me, in the box- cuz ain’t nobody checkin me,” she wrote. “Love you for LIFE.”
In September 2019, Nikky’s announcement was met with bewilderment from Minaj’s fans, some of whom couldn’t quite believe that the rapper is actually retiring and suggested her tweet might have been a joke.
The best albums of 2019 (so far) Minaj rose to prominence between 2007 and 2009 with her mixtapes, eventually delivering hits such as “Anaconda”, “Super Bass” and “Starships”.
Her first album, Pink Friday, came out in 2010. Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded followed in 2012.
Minaj’s third studio album, The Pinkprint, was released in 2014, and her most recent album to date, Queen, debuted in 2018.
Throughout her career, Minaj has been heralded as one of the most influential hip hop artists of all time. She earned 10 Grammy nominations, six American Music Awards, 11 BET Awards and four Billboard music awards, among other accolades.
