Kidnapped Jos Paramount Ruler Regains Freedom
The Paramount Ruler of Vwang District in Jos-south Local Government Area of Plateau State, HRH. Da Gyang Balak Gut, who was kidnapped on Sunday has regained his freedom.
He was rescued by a combined team of security agencies
You will recall that the abductors of the paramount ruler of Da Gwom Rwei Vwang District of Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State Da Gyang Balak Gut, demanded the sum of N10 million ransoms to free him.
A source in the traditional council said the abductors contacted the palace in the early hours of Monday and spoke to one of the high-ranking chiefs demanding N10 million.
The Nation reports that the incident occurred less than one month after the abduction of Charles Dakat, the paramount ruler of Gindiri in the Mangu Local Government Area of the state.
It was gathered that the paramount ruler was kidnapped on Sunday night on his way home to Vom, few meters from the Gate of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru in Jos.
Gwattson said: “I have just been informed of the kidnap of one of our traditional rulers, Da Gwom Rwei of Vwang District, Jos South Local Government Area Da Gyang Balak.”
The lawmaker, who condemned the abduction of the traditional ruler, noted that the kidnap of the monarch was the second of such incident in the community in recent times.

He said: “We have a problem at hand in Plateau State regarding kidnapping and abduction of the citizens.”
Also, the member representing Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency of Plateau State in the House of Representatives Dachung Musa Bagos had, yesterday, expressed sadness and condemned the abduction of the paramount ruler of Vwang District, Jos South Local Government Da Gyang Ballat on Sunday night.
