IPOB: Steps To Solving The Insecurity Puzzle in Nigeria
Insecurity in Nigeria no doubt has taken a new dimension since the administration of Rtd. General Mohammadu Buhari led APC Federal Government.
Nigerians have been subjected to the worst form of hardship ever in the history of the nation’s existence and this has led to all forms of criminality as evidenced in every state in the country.
Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in his wisdom established the Eastern Security Network to cater to the security challenges in the region. According to Kanu, he took the initiative having observed the nonchalant attitude of the eastern governor towards protecting the lives and properties of the residents in Igbo Land.
The survival instinct in nature will always manifest in any form and Nigerians are not immune to such reactions and manifestations.
Where there is INEQUALITY, NEPOTISM, FAVOURITISM, MALADMINISTRATION, and all forms of injustice is perpetrated on a quantum scale, then all manner of elements will arise in response to cushion the after-effects.
How can anyone come out to talk? How many panels of inquiries have been set up in the past and come out to implement the outcome of findings? The people are tired and hungry….. Can you beat a child and stop him or her from crying?
In as much as I condemn such acts in strong terms, I will recommend that the government should address the root cause.
If you live in the East you will know why such will continue if nothing is done. If we claim that Nigeria belongs to all of us, then there should be EQUALITY in the distribution of the nation’s wealth. There should be EQUALITY in the distribution of MINISTERIAL APPOINTMENTS.
Let me remind you, a few years ago, PYTHON DANCE was organized in South Eastern Nigeria primarily to KILL and MAIM INNOCENT IGBOS who were agitating PEACEFULLY WITHOUT ARMS THE INJUSTICE METED TO THEM BY THE APC LED FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.
MANY FAMILIES LOST FATHERS, BROTHERS, SOME WERE THE BREADWINNERS, KILLED IN THEIR PRIME, and you expect them to be happy.
To make matters worse, they were proscribed and labelled Terrorists while, those MURDEROUS FULANI HERDSMEN, MIYETTI ALLAH CATTLE BREEDERS, BANDITS AND OTHER WITH AK47, ARE PRAISED, PROTECTED AND ENLISTED INTO THE NIGERIAN ARMY AS REPENTED TERRORISTS TO CONTINUE THE HIDEOUS CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY IN A LARGER SCALE.
UNTIL the right thing is done and justice served, it will get worse, not just in South-Eastern Nigeria but across the entire nation.
IPOB is not Nigeria’s problem, Nigerians are not the problem, the leadership is Nigeria’s biggest headache and until the problem is resolved, Nigeria, as a nation will continue to wallow in self-destruction.
Supporting armed killer Fulani Herdsmen and bandits is a bigger problem bedevilling Nigeria today and not IPOB or Nnamdi Kanu.
To chart a new course on the way forward, the Nigeria Justice system must be reformed as a matter of urgency.
The Country must be Restructured to reflect the principles of true federalism.
State Policing should be encouraged and state of origin should be abolished if truly we are one Nigeria,
