Just In: See New FIFA Rules That Will Affect Pulisic, Ziyech, Other Chelsea Players
The football governing body, FIFA has made some new changes that will affect Chelsea and some players as the international calendar will affect some players.
Chelsea is set to lose all non-European players to international duty in 2022 under new FIFA changes.
The governing football body has replaced the September 2020 international match window, which was due to take place from August 31 to September 8 this year, with a window now taking place from January 24 to February 1, 2022, for all confederations except UEFA.
The AFCON finals will also be included in the January 2022 window – and because this is an official FIFA window, European clubs will have to release players for international duty.
As things stand right now, in terms of first-team players, Christian Pulisic would go away with USA and summer signing Hakim Ziyech would link up with Morocco.
As more players are set to join the blues, some will still have to go for the expanded International duties.
