Michael Owen’s Midweek Premier League Predictions Revealed

The Manchester United FC are set to start both Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes for the first time together, against a Sheffield United side suffering from issues in defence.

Manchester United look to bolster their Champions League hopes when they face fellow Euro hopefuls Sheffield United at Old Trafford.

And former United striker Michael Owen is in no doubts that they will do the business on Wednesday night.
The weekend’s Premier League restart saw United lose ground in their Champions League chase after their 1-1 draw with Spurs was followed by Chelsea’s 2-1 win at Aston Villa.

The United in fifth is now five points behind the top four.

But they will be confident that they can claim victory over the Blades, who were thumped 3-0 at Newcastle on Sunday.

Chris Wilder’s men have enjoyed an excellent season thus far, and sitting seventh, they boast the league’s second meanest defence.

But they face United without two of their first-choice centre-halves, with Jack O’Connell injured and John Egan suspended, while goalkeeper Dean Henderson is unavailable to face his parent club.

With Paul Pogba fit and ready to start alongside Bruno Fernandes, still yet to taste defeat in the Premier League, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men look primed to cut the gap to Chelsea to two points – before Frank Lampard’s side face Man City on Thursday.

And Owen believes they will claim a convincing victory.
