The Answers We Seek As A Country Is Within Us Here In Nigeria.

As the world continues to grapple with the challenges of the COVID-19 Pandemic and with the realities at the dawn of the 21st century, the whole world began to look lustfully in the direction of Africa for various reasons.

As everyone knows, Africa remains the raw materials continent of the World. The African soil is incredibly rich! It’s almost as if God deliberately made it the storehouse of Planet Earth.

Name it, we’ve got it. Gold, silver, diamonds, oil. Cocoa, rubber, timber, palm oil, groundnuts. Copper, bauxite, Tin, Plutonium. Literally everything that human beings could ever need to produce finished goods, is found in Africa. The material required to make the smartphone that you hold in your hands is only found in Africa.

In addition, the population of Africa is youthful. The demographics show that young people make up more than three-quarters of the entire population. What that means in real terms is that we have a large and youthful workforce of cheap labour who have an insatiable appetite for consumer goods.

We will buy anything and everything that is brought to us for sale. Cars, watches, electronics, clothes, alcohol, drugs, pornography, religion..etc. We are the proverbial greedy child in a candy store!

It is no wonder, Africa and Africans have been exploited for centuries by the Europeans, the Asians, the Americans and now the Chinese. Everyone wants a piece of the African pie.

This has been the scenario until the arrival of COVID-19. Now due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, all the carpetbaggers have gone home. All the pirates have been restricted to their countries and continents of origin.

What will happen now that Africa has been left alone to its own fate? Will Africa begin to learn that it’s destiny lies in its own hands? Will Africa begin to look inwards? Perhaps the results we have been searching for in Sokoto is in our Shokotoh. The answers we seek is within us, within our environment, within Africa, yes It is in Nigeria.
