Nollywood Veteran Actor Needs Your Prayers, He Is In Critical Health Condition

Nollywood veteran actor, Mr. Victor Olaotan is in need of your prayers and financial support.  One of his mentees and colleague of the Tinsel star, Victor Olaotan has shared photos of the actor on social media which has left many Nigerians in shock at his depreciating health condition.

Victor Olaotan was born in  1952, Lagos, Nigeria. He studied at the University of Ibadan, Obafemi Awolowo University and Rockets University, United States.

The Nigerian veteran actor and lead character of the popular Soap opera, Tinsel, began his career as an actor when he joined the University of Ibadan theatre group, where he met other artistes, such as Professor Wole Soyinka and Jimi Solanke among others. He became an actor at the age of 15 years through a teacher who was a member of the Ori Olokun Theatre group in the early ’70s, prior to the death of his father.

After his father died, he traveled to the United States of America in 1978 but returned to Nigeria in 2002 to continue his career in acting. He became more popular in 2013 after his leading role in a Nigerian Soap opera, Tinsel that began airing in August 2008.

The veteran actor was involved in a motor accident in October 2016 and suffered nervous system injury. He was driving to a movie set when the accident took place around Apple Junction, in Festac, Lagos.

Even though Nigerian billionaire and philanthropist, Femi Otedola reportedly paid the veteran actor’s medical bill in 2019 after being involved in a motor accident in 2016, it seems his condition has not improved.

Olaotan’s colleagues have now taken to social media to solicit for support to get him back on his feet.

Actor Seun Ajayi, who, however, acknowledged that Femi Otedola paid the veteran actor’s medical bill, said he (Olaotan) needs $250,000 for recovery and aftercare.

Apart from your financial assistance, your prayers and well wishes are urgently needed this time.
