GOD Can Change Your Situation Today
Changing your life is something God can do in a moment of time. He can change your life today when you believe you can.
They say that change is not only inevitable but constant. But one side to change that is so unpredictable is how long change takes to arrive. The story of the removal of king Belshazzar of Babylon and his replacement with Darius demonstrate that change can come both slowly over a long time and instantly in a twinkle of an eye.
In Daniel 5:1-7 22-30, the story of how God changed the situation of a people, a country.
A few years before Jeremiah issued the famous prophecy that Babylonia would rule the Jews for 70 years (Jer. 29:10-11), that kingdom had been a young superpower emerging from the shadows of its kindred principality, Assyria. The Jews of the Northern kingdom of Samaria had been decimated and carried away into captivity by the Assyrian king, Sennacherib, and the southern kingdom of Judah followed their steps into captivity into Babylon under Nebuchadnezzar.
A Jewish sage, Malbim comments that 70 years had run out according to Belshazzar’s calculations, and he was still in charge. The Jews were still under him being the grandson of Nebuchadnezzar. He threw a party to mark this milestone and intentionally to signify his assumed victory over Jeremiah’s prophecy.
God responds with the famous handwriting that appears on the wall during the feast which only Daniel the Jews could interpret. That night changes occurred in quick successions.
First, Daniel became the third ruler of the kingdom. Second, Belshazzar died. Third, the Babylonian Kingdom came to an abrupt end. Fourth, the Medo-Persia kingdom was erected in its place. Finally, a new king, Darius the Mede took the throne.
All in one night. Changes!
From all these, we learn that God can turn events around in an instant. He coordinates everything and all calculations. Today as the world plunges deeper into chaos and confusion, let us remember that our God is in charge and can turn things around in an instant. Trust Him to bring the change you have been waiting for. It can come the next minute!
Your change can come in an instant when you change your mindset, your thoughts and how you see the world around you.
Tell God your creator through your prayer channels to help you. You can pray and say,” Father, help me to trust you for my change because since you are in charge, it can come any moment as you meditate on God’s word. (PSALM 109-111; ROMANS 16).
You can make it today, dare to believe and step out and try again.
