Enugu East Council Chairman Visits Amankpaka Nike Ultra Modern Market
The Enugu East Council Chairman Engr. Dan Anike visits Amankpaka Nike Ultra Modern Market before the official opening of Amankpaka Nike Ultra Modern Market, in Ugwogo.
Newera News gathered that the Chairman of Enugu East LGA Engr. Dan Anike on 4th November 2024, paid a working visit to the market amid jubilation.
During the inspection Engr. Dan visited various sections of the market and also Timber and Building materials section, General Goods section, Abatoir, Electrical/Electronic sections and Car Park areas respectively.
According to the Market Developer, Arc. Reginald Anike, CEO of Reg Impressions Ltd, the market has 3,500 shops with access roads.
Engr. Dan in his remarks, said he was amazed and satisfied with the massive development in the market. He opined that the market has all it takes to commence trading.
There are shops, with solar-powered lights, water availability, toilet facilities and every facility needed for a smooth business transaction.
In light of the foregoing, he commended his predecessor, the immediate past Executive Chairman of Enugu East LGA, Hon. Livinus Nze Anike, community leaders, members of the Market Committee and investors for making the establishment of the market a reality.
He affirmed that his administration is in a hurry to meet with relevant stakeholders to work out modalities for the official opening of the Market. He further asserted that he would follow Gov. Peter Mbah’s trajectory and facilitate the transformation of Amankpaka Market into an economic hub.
He also assured investors and traders that his administration would unlock the market’s economic potential and add more value to their investments.
He also promised to install an independent PHCN transformer for electrification in the market before Christmas.
Furthermore, he thanked the Executive Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubisi Mbah for flagging off the dualization of the Abakpa – Ugwogo – Opi Nsukka road.
According to the Chairman, the road project upon completion will make Amankpaka Market the centre of Commercial activities.
In their respective goodwill speeches, the Chairman of Amankpaka Market Committee, Hon. Gab Onu and President General of Amankpaka Nike Town Union, Chief Obinna Onu, praised the Chairman for his visionary and innovative leadership.
They thanked him on behalf of Amankpaka Nike Autonomous Community for believing in the market economic potentials.
The Executive Chairman used the opportunity to invite all Igbo sons and daughters to come back home to build the zone to the next level.
