Why Chelsea Deserves an Ambitious Owner
Chelsea deserves an ambitious owner that can maintain the already set standard. Whoever wants to take over the highly esteemed club, must be ready to take it to the next level.
Yes, there have been some debates this week on what would be the best plan of action for prospective new owners when they get their hands on the club.
And a lot has been written with some media reports suggesting that it is the Stadium redevelopment plans that could be pinnacle to the decision being made as to who gets Chelsea.
Why Chelsea Deserves an Ambitious Owner
I understand that a lot of the debate will be based on what new owners decide to do first, but for me, what is more important, is whether new owners can do ALL of what is needed to do at the same time, whilst also keeping us successful. Because for me, that isn’t impossible to do at all.
I see a lot written with some media reports suggesting that it is the Stadium redevelopment plans that could be pinnacle to the decision being made as to who gets Chelsea.
And then I also see debates over what is more important. I get that, but I want to hear an owner who can show me a plan that involves redeveloping the stadium whilst also keeping us competitive. Because it should never be one or the other right now. But not only that, keeping our academy up there with one of the best in the world, as well as continuing to invest in the Women’s squad.
Why Chelsea Deserves an Ambitious Owner
We cannot really afford to go backwards and slip further behind the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City. But you can still run our squad self-sustainable and redevelop the stadium at the same time, you just have to be very wise with recruitment and player sales. I fully believe we can do both at the same time and we do not have to sacrifice one for the other.
There’s no reason at all why an owner cannot come in and maintain both promises, and there is no reason why Raine Group cannot ask to see evidence for this and evidence of the funding to invest in the squad AND that stadium at the same time. This is Chelsea FC, one of the biggest football clubs in the land, we deserve an ambitious owner, and I believe we can get one.
