Russia-Ukraine Conflict: Polish and Romanian Govts. guarantee safe passage for trapped Nigerians

The Polish and Romanian Governments have assured the Nigerian State that they will provide a safe corridor for Nigerians trapped in Ukraine to pass through their countries.

Both countries share a common border with conflict-hit Ukraine.

The ambassadors of Poland and Romania said this after a late Friday evening emergency meeting with the Nigerian Minister of Foreign Affairs Geoffery Onyema in Abuja.

This is coming amid reports that Africans trying to exit Ukraine through the Polish border have been turned back since they have no EU passport.
