Oba Ogunwusi Imposes Night Curfew in Ife
The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi on Saturday announced restrictions for residents of the town over a surge in robbery cases.
Neweranews learnt that Oba Ogunwusi, through Lowa Adimula of Ile-Ife, Abraham Adekola, said the restriction order was arrived at after the kingmakers with other chiefs held a meeting.
The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi who was not around endorsed the Curfew Order.
Oba Ogunwusi Imposes Night Curfew in Ife
The lockdown will be from 11 pm to 5 am in Ife township from Saturday to further notice.
Lowa Adimula added that there shall be no vigil, night party, night prayers in all churches and mosques until the order is lifted.
It is not yet clear the law the Palace relied on to restrict movement.
