BREAKING: Four Die as another building collapses in Lagos
Information reaching us indicates that another building has collapsed and killed no fewer than four unskilled labourers.
The newera news gathered that four people died while other scores were presently trapped under the rubbles of a one-storey building under construction at Badagry Local Government, in Lagos State.
The building which is sited at Flour Mills Estate in Magbon axis of Badagry came down barely two weeks after the Ikoyi high-rise building caved in, killing over 40 lives and leaving 15 others with varying degrees of injuries.
Lagos State Director, Fire and Rescue Service, Margaret Adeseye, confirmed the tragedy in a statement.
Adeseye said four persons have been rescued while an operation is underway to pull out those trapped.
The official confirmed that the victims are mainly construction workers.
They sustained varying degrees of injury but are in stable condition at nearby hospitals where they were rushed to.
“Four adults male have been recovered (unconscious) thus far.
“Nigeria Police, Morogbo Division and community dwellers are complimenting rescue efforts”, the statement added.
The latest incident occurred two weeks after the Ikoyi building collapse which killed 45 people.

Lagos State authority needs to work harder to prevent more buildings from collapsing as many builders have been found guilty of not keeping to the rules and regulations in putting these buildings on the ground.
The war against corruption must be extended to quack engineers who are found wanting.
