Boko Haram Release Another Batch of 10 Abducted Baptist Students

Boko Haram release another batch of 10 abducted Baptist students. Ten more abducted students of Bethel Baptist High School in Chikun LGA of Kaduna State, North-West Nigeria by the Dangerous Boko Haram Bandits.

The victims have been in captivity for 82 days.

Confirming this to Newsmen, Reverend Joseph Hayap, said the students who regained their freedom on Sunday evening were immediately reunited with their families.

Indeed, the students were abducted on July 5, when a group of Boko Haram bandits attacked their school and went away with 121 students.

This is the fourth batch of students that have been released since their abduction.

On September 19, 10 students were also set free after the initial 32 and 15 regained their freedom on the 28th and 22nd of August respectively.

So far, a total of 110 students have regained their freedom, while 11 are still with their abductors.
You will recall that the Kaduna State Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN Reverend Joseph Hayap said the students were released on Saturday evening and were immediately reunited with their families.He said there was no need to keep the students a day longer because they have suffered enough, hence there was no need for any ceremony that will require media coverage.

Reverend Hayap said that they are hopeful to secure the release of the remaining 33 students still in the custody of the bandits.

The 32 students are now the third batch of students released by the bandits following the release of 15 on Sunday, August 22.

It would be recalled that the President of the Baptist Conference in Kaduna State, Ishaya Jangado said that the bandits contacted them to pay some amount to secure the release of the students.
