Chelsea Offers Abraham as Swap Deal to Land in World-Class Striker to Stamford Bridge
Chelsea has reportedly opened talks with Borussia Dortmund over the signing of their striker Haaland and have proposed a swap deal with the German giants.
The Blues are looking to sign a new striker this summer and have identified Norway international Erling Braut Haaland as the ideal player to significantly improve them ahead of the new season.
It’s a pity that Chelsea is looking to add another top striker to their squad just almost a year after signing one from another German team, RB Leipzig.
Last summer, Chelsea signed German striker Timo Werner from Leipzig in a deal that reportedly cost them £54m. The blues were happy to have secured one of the hottest strikers in Europe as at then, but the star failed to replicate his Bundesliga form in the Premier League last season.
Chelsea has been told that signing Haaland this summer would cost them £150m and the blues are willing to push for it. At the moment, the Blues are looking to get creative in their negotiations for the Dortmund forward and are looking to add one of their player to the deal.
The Mirror has claimed that Chelsea has offered out-of-favour forward Tammy Abraham as a makeweight in a possible deal for Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland.
However, the offer is not very appealing to the German club, who have little interest in accepting Tammy Abraham as part of the deal.
Tammy Abraham is reportedly not in Tuchel’s plans for next season and barely featured under the German gaffer last season. The many games he played last season came under the stewardship of Frank Lampard before the English manager was sacked.
However, Chelsea valued Tammy Abraham at £50 million ($69m/€58m) and think he should be seen as a valuable asset by both domestic and foreign clubs.
