Nnamdi Kanu is South East Most Popular Leader Says Obasanjo
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has called on the South-East governors to stop playing politics with the lives of their people.
Obasanjo made the call during a media briefing in his Ota Mansion over the weekend when news of total compliance with Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s call to sit at home order recorded 100% compliance.
The former Nigerian Present said, “no doubt, Nnamdi Kanu is the most popular man in entire southeastern Nigeria. He commands the respect of both young and old in the region and even beyond”.
He said it’s high time you take governance seriously and stop sacrificing your people on the altar of personal political gain.
You will recall that the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu had called on all Igbos especially those residing in the South-East to stay at home from 30th to on Monday the 31st Day of May to honour their fallen Heroes.
Kanu in a live Facebook broadcast said it was a case of “my followers know my voice and they hear when I call to the Glory of God Almighty”. He alone will bring to pass our desires to live a free from wicked oppressive jihadist leaders.
Following the total shutdown witnessed in South-Eastern Nigeria over the weekend, it is now crystal clear that all the governors in the east are unpopular.
Now we know that Nnamdi Kanu is the controller of Eastern Nigeria Not the Governors of Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo, Obasanjo said.
Let true leaders whose mantra will be the people comes first should be installed and not criminal elements.
