Buhari Replaces Heads of NAPTIP, Refugees Commission
President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the swapping of positions by two heads of agencies under the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development.
Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media made the announcement in a statement.
He said the rejig seeks to realize and sustain the government’s abiding desire for effective and efficient service delivery in the two organisations.
Mrs. Imaan Suleiman Ibrahim, the current Director-General, National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) takes over from Basheer Garba Mohammed as Federal Commissioner National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI).
Mohammed, a former Senator, becomes the new Director-General of NAPTIP.
The President further directed that the changes be effected after comprehensive handover notes to successors.
