Police Arrest 7 Suspected Kidnappers in Niger State (Photos)

Men of the Nigerian Police Force in Niger State has arrested seven suspected kidnappers in a raid that led to the discovery and final arrest.

Newera News gathered that the first group has three males, including Abdul-Kareem, Nura Muhammad and Jamilu Muhammad, who are all between 25-30 years as well as a female Hauwa Muhammad, who is 30years old.

They were all arrested in Munya Local Government Area of Niger State.

The sum of #1.5m was also found on Nura and Abdul-Kareem.

According to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Wasiu Abiodun, both Nura and Abdul-Kareem are members of a kidnapped group, terrorizing communities in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.

Others are Usman Shehu, Bello Muhammad and Ibrahim Shuaibu, all from Kebbi State, arrested along the Ibbi – New Bussa road, by a Police Patrol team.

The Police discovered the sum of # 1.7m on the suspects, which is part of the ransom paid by some of their kidnapped victims.

Meanwhile, the Police also intercepted two other suspects on a motorcycle, along the Sarkin Pawa – Minna road.

While conducting a search on the suspects, 20-year-old Jamilu Sulaiman and 23-year-old Michael Dauda, the police recovered a bag of leaves suspected to be Indian hemp, sixteen sachets of Dizapam drugs, three wraps of AXL drugs, a mobile phone and #10,000.

Niger State Police image-maker, further stated that the suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
