Ajax Coach Confirms Hakim Ziyech Move To Chelsea, Set To Sign A Youngster
Ajax coach, Erik Ten Hag has confirmed that two players will be leaving his side to join the English Premiership side, Chelsea, and as has concluded plans to bring onboard new youngsters as a replacement.
The skilful player, Hakim Ziyech will move to the Stamford Bridge this summer after having dominated the Eredivisie in recent years as the competition’s leading playmaker.
He also masterminded Ajax to the final four of the Champions League last season and scored a goal against the Blues in the group stages of this year’s competition to make his quality clear.
The Morocco international is expected to add a new dimension to Chelsea’s play next season, linking up with the other midfielders in the squad such as Christian Pulisic and Mason Mount, as well as his fellow summer signing Timo Werner.
Chelsea manager. Frank Lampard has planned to make his team be in a strong position to compete for the title next season.
Frank Lampard admits the arrivals of Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech ramps up the pressure on him.
He gave youngsters including Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham and Reece James their chance, and they have repaid his faith by putting Chelsea in the mix for a top-four finish.
Since the ban ended, though, Lampard has been granted access to Roman Abramovich’s chequebook.
And while he’s thrilled at £48million Werner and £38m Ziyech’s signings, he knows expectations will change as a result.
