BREAKING: Total Lockdown As Tanker Blocks River Niger, Preventing Entry Into And Out Of South East
It is a total lockdown at the entry point of South-Eastern Nigeria as the River Niger bridge is reportedly blocked by a tanker conveying petroleum product lost control while trying to make an emergency U-turn on the bridge.
The tanker has reportedly spilled its contents at the River Niger Bridge, Onitsha Anambra state.
The truck was said to have hit the edge rail of the bridge while attempting to make a U-turn on the bridge.
With this development, you cannot travel into the South East neither will you be able to travel out of the state
He said: “A petrol tanker has just hit the edge rail while attempting to make a U-turn on the River Niger bridge.
“Fuel from the tanker is spilling furiously. The Fire Service has been contacted and they are on their way to the scene. FRSC operatives are currently controlling traffic.
