BREAKING: Chief Medical Director At Ibadan Test Positive To COVID-19
The Chief Medical Director at the University College Hospital, Ibadan, Professor Jesse Otegbayo, has contracted Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Otegbayo announced his status in a statement he personally issued on Sunday.
“Unfortunately, my result returned positive on Saturday afternoon and I remain in isolation as I am not symptomatic. All staff who have been in contact with me and other participants during this period have been advised to immediately proceed on self-isolation pending the time they get tested,” he said.
Nigeria has confirmed no fewer than 97 cases of the deadly virus.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Saturday, gave the breakdown of the confirmed cases according to states as follows:
