BREAKING: Houses worth Millions Of Naira Burnt As Explosion Rocks Abule Ado In Festac See Photos

There was a huge explosion at the Abule Ado area of Festac Town in Amuwo Odofin LGA of Lagos State.

An eyewitness told our correspondent that a tipper offloading sand caught fire, which spread to a nearby pipeline, triggering the blast.

Many houses have been destroyed by the blaze, the Lagos state fire service, however, says the implosion is not connected with the pipeline, but there are buildings on fire in Ado Soba, Abule-Ado, and Amuwo-Odofin.

According to Vanguard news that uploaded the video of the incident revealed that some parts of Abule ado in Amuwo-Odofin local government area, along Badagry/Mile 2 Expressway, Lagos has been affected by a pipeline explosion

It is also reported that the commuters and worshippers are running for their lives and the churches in that environment are forced to shut down.

The explosion which occurred at about 8 am on Sunday morning forced several residents and Christian worshipers who had gone to church in the area scampered for safety.

It is known at the time of filing the report whether the Lagos State fire services are on ground to put out the fire. And it is not certained whether the fire has claimed any life.

According to officials of the fire service, the situation is under control but we will keep the public updated as the event unfolded.
