Corruption: What Former President Goodluck Could Not Do For Abia State In Six Years, Buhari Has Done In Four Years. Find Out What It Is here

Arguably, President Buhari has proved to be on top of his game with regard to fighting corruption in Nigeria. Many of his critics will agree with me that he has done fairly well in the area of curbing the corruption endemic.

Due to the outcry of the people of Abia state to president Buhari on the state of the roads and other infrastructural decay in the state, he turned on his searchlight to Abia state and surprisingly, he found a monumental fraud of embezzlement of public funds by an APC chieftain in the person of Chief Orji Uzor Kalu.

Just recently, he secured the conviction of the former Governor of Abia state, in the person of Chief. Orji Uzor Kanu who embezzled state funds to the tune of N7.65billion as a two-term governor.

It is on record that former president Goodluck could not uncover the fraud while he served the country.

You will recall that a federal high court on Thursday, December 5th, 2019, sentenced former governor, Orji Uzor Kalu to 12 years imprisonment after being found guilty on all the 39 count charges brought against him. Chief Orji Uzor Kalu was born on April 21, 1960, to the family of Mr. Johnson Uzor Nesiegbe Kalu and Mrs. Eunice Kalu.

Kalu is the chairman of SLOK Holding and the Daily Sun and New Telegraph newspapers in Nigeria, who served as the Governor of Abia State, Nigeria from May 29, 1999, to May 29, 2007.

He was convicted of N7.65billion fraud perpetuated when he was serving as the Abia State governor between 1999 and 2007 and is serving his jail term. This is an achievement credited to President Mohammad Buhari and the people of Abia State are so grateful.

And as if that was not enough, his EFCC moved further to uncover yet another gargantuan monumental fraud in the same Abia state by a protege of the former Governor who is a serving senator, Senator Theodore Orji.

Orji is the immediate past two-term governor of Abia State, a state blessed by almighty God but plundered by men of questionable character.

The media was blazing with the news recently when Theodore Orji was quizzed by the EFCC over an allegation that he and his son diverted N521 billion from the state to his personal use.

Theodore Ahamefule Orji CON was elected governor of Abia State, in southeast Nigeria, on May 29, 2007, and re-elected on April 26, 2011. He was formerly a career civil servant and served as the Chief of Staff to Abia Governor, Orji Uzor Kalu.

President Buhari is poised to bring him to book and repatriate the looted funds back to the state as soon as possible to enable the people of Abia state to enjoy the dividend of Democracy which has eluded the state since the return of civil rule in 1999.

Mr. President must be encouraged to continue the corruption fight and make Nigeria a better place to live. What do you think President Buhari should do next?

The question on everybody’s lip is Will Theodore Orji also go to jail? What will happen to his family? I believe some of us know the answer to these questions. What is your take?

what our dear Former President Goodluck could not do for  Abia State, President Buhari has done for Abia people and has promised to do more to ensure that the roads and other needed infrastructures are put in place and to bring to book every looter.
