Gombe Gov Tasks Communities To Be Responsible For Maintenance Culture

The Gombe State Governor, Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya visited secondary schools in the state as part of his assessment tour of Secondary Schools to ascertain the level of dilapidation.

Gov. Yahaya, inspected the state of infrastructure at Government Science Secondary School, Kaltungo vowing to restore the school’s past glory just as he tasked the host communities on maintenance culture.

The Governor who stressed that his administration which has quality and standard education as a priority promised to restore the famous Government Science Secondary School, Kaltungo to its past glory.

Inuwa Yahaya who spoke at the end of the unscheduled visit to assess progress and level of work that his administration awarded a few months ago in the school stressed his administration’s commitment towards prioritizing education and revitalizing schools in the state, said there is no alternative to education, hence he will leave no stone unturned in revamping the sector.

He also disclosed plans to upgrade and modernize some selected schools across the 3 Senatorial zones and make them standard so as to compete favorably with others across the country in terms of facilities, teaching and learning environment.

He said that “Despite the meager resources at our disposal, our administration will ensure that some selected schools across the 3 senatorial zones in the state are upgraded to the required standard”.

He urged everyone to support the administration in any way they can.
