Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo Finally Reacts To DSS Invasion Of Federal High Court
Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo has reacted to the alleged desecration of the Federal High Court in Abuja in an attempt re-arrest of Omoyele Sowore, the convener of #RevolutionNow protest.
Speaking on the re-arrest of Omoyele Sowore, the convener of #RevolutionNow after rejecting the award from the Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism, The Vice President berated of the actions of the country’s secret police.
The Vice President who was a keynote speaker in the United Arab Emirates explained in a statement by his spokesman, Laolu Akande, the Vice that why he refused to accept the award for his achievements in the justice system of Nigeria due to the developments on Friday in the Sowore case, “I think it would be insensitive and inappropriate to attend the ceremony.”
Osinbajo then went on to thanks the organizers of the event for considering him for an award. The center, had also, however, earlier announced the postponement of the recognition stating “the inappropriateness of the award” for him at this time.
