Ihedioha Approves Full Salaries For Imo Civil Servants
The Imo state, Emeka Ihedioha, has given executive approval for the complete payment of salaries to the workers of the state.
The governor’s approval was conveyed in a circular addressed to senior civil servants by the Accountant General of state, Donald Igbo.
The memo which was dated August 5 was sighted by our correspondent in Owerri on Friday. The circular partly read “I am directed to refer to government House letter No GH/PL/S111/141 dated 1st August 2019, on the above subject and convey His Excellency’s v,
Hon Emeka Nkem Ihedioha, Governor of Imo State approval to commence the payment of 100% salaries to Imo state workers, with effect from 1st August 2019.” “You are therefore directed to submit your August 2019 salary with total adherence to 100% salary structure agreed and signed by the government and joint labour Unions in 2011.”
“Please be informed that any other allowance (s)or approval to a particular MDA outside the harmonized and approved 2011 salary table should seek revalidation /approval from his Excellency, the governor of Imo State before it can be used or accepted.”
“I am further directed to convey his Excellency’s regret for any inconvenience caused to workers for the delay in the implementation of the 100% salary payment.”
