Why AAC Faction Expelled Sowore, Dissociates Self From #RevolutionNow Protest
A faction of the African Action Congress (AAC) announced the expulsion of its national chairman and former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore.
The party faction also dissociated itself from the “RevolutionNow” protest which Mr. Sowore planned without carrying the party along.
This was announced at the AAC’s national convention in Owerri the Imo state capital where the party also elected Mr. Leonard Nzenwa as the new National Chairman.
Nigeria’s ruling party, APC, has accused activist Omoyele Sowore, of treason and plotting to destabilise the country.
Mr. Sowore was arrested last Saturday for calling for a revolution against bad governance.
We arrived at this decision in the best interest of the party and Nigeria at large.
