Breaking: Herdsmen Shot Catholic Priest To Death In Enugu

Unknow gunmen suspected to be Fulani Herdsmen has invaded Nomeh Community in Nkanu-East Local Government Area of Enugu State. 
Presently, there is heavy tension in the community as the Fulani Islamic herder terrorists shot a Catholic. priest , Fr. Ikechukwu Ilo and Mrs. Great Chika Egbo (Mother of a Reverend Sister). The incident occurred as both victims drove in a vehicle through a road leading to Nnewe community of Aninri.
The attack was carried out at about 2:30pm on Thursday 18th July 2019. The assailants shot sporadically with AK47 rifles, forcing inhabitants to scamper for safety. “As we drove towards the  village, the Fulani marauding killer herdsmen who spoke  both in English and Fulani languages, opened fire, trying to force us to stop.
Seeing that we were not ready to cave in to their intimidation, they started raining bullets on our vehicle at close range and in the process, shot me at my ankle and shoulder while the next victim was shot on his leg and waist”. The injured are in the hospital receiving treatment.
